The Friends of Budlong (F.O.B.) is an Illinois not for profit 501c3 corporation. Our goal is to raise funds to support the staff and students of Budlong, and 100% of donations to F.O.B. go directly to the school. We welcome involvement from the entire community. Did you know that we tripled our Teacher Grants budget to $4,500? These Grants provide otherwise unavailable funding for innovative programming.
Here are our 2019-2020 Teacher Grant Recipients:
Access For All Michelle Daly, EL PK-8This will provide special headsets to students learning English to enhance their language skills and build confidence.
Living Lincoln 2nd grade team, Grades K-8This program will bring President Lincoln to life through a historical character assembly on March 2
Mad Science Elizabeth Salky/Kindergarten Mad Science makes science fun! It's a hands-on workshop that lets kids design and test experiments.
3D Doodle Pens Sophia Crespo/5th grade teamThese pens will enable students to create incredible 3D structures in the classroom, promoting problem solving, critical thinking... and fun.
Super U Challenge Kelly Kukla/2nd grade team This engaging assembly, run like a game show, will get kids thinking about their role in respecting others and preventing bullying by reinforcing positive behavior, respect and kindness.
Inside Out 2nd grade team, Grades 2-5 These virtual shirts will teach students about the human body, including their own! With an app, they can scan the shirt and dive into their bloodstream, lungs and small intestines.
